List of Sword Skins?
Is there a list of sword skins...I am looking for the ideal weapon and wanted to know what my choices were as far as skins go.
A skin...is just a skin right...the modifiers are make it was it is...am I correct with that? Is the best inherent mod the 15%>50 Health? ...or would you suggest another? |

Skins are just skins. Only the mods/damage matter.
The best modifier is the one that benefits you most. Since most players like being healthy 15>50% health it is a common one, but other players might always maintain an enchanment, or may always be in a stance, so those may be better mods for them. Mods that you don't control are generally weaker (while hexed) or if you must weaken yourself for it (20<50% health). Last edited by Epinephrine; Nov 08, 2005 at 02:19 PM // 14:19.. |

That is what I figured...just checking before I started moding a weapon. I have decided on the Vampiric 3/1 Hilt for my sword, and a Pommel of Defense +5 (possibly upgraded to a Pommel of Fortitude +30 later on) But CASH is key right now and I don't have an extra 70K sitting around.
What are the skins though? Is there a link that will show all? How much do you thing a +15%>50 Health will go for...of course max damage? |

This thread is in the "community works" subforum (found easily with the search button) It shows all the different sword types/styles available.

+15%>50 ranges up to precious (crystal swords and fellblades), but I can't give prices - do a price check in the buy/sell forums. Getting a 14%>50 is probably a better bet, as the 1% difference is unlikely to matter, excepting on really massive hits, and if you hit for >100 damage in a hit you probably don't care about the 1 point you missed. If you want a stance or enchanted sword they are available from collectors cheap, and work fine. I prefer them, as my guys are always in stances pretty much. |

Each has their own strategy, mine revolves around the practical vs. the inefficient.
I still don't see why Sunderings and other % chance to occur weapons are being sold to ridiculous prices. Me... I'm set on any of my melee weapons being Zealous prefix. Even though the hammer swings slow, under frenzy, my total e. regen is a little over 3 using a zealous hammer. Being a skill freak, I like the extra regen. Zealous axe/sword will grant you 4 e. regen under frenzy and a little over 3 when not, so a zealous hilt/haft/etc. is to me the most efficient weapon a warrior can use who wants to keep the hits coming. A blend of Adrenal and E. Based skills for me is more efficient than all adrenaline. [one soothing images and at least I can use Swift Chop] My in-built mod should always be +15%~ stance. Nothing beats a mod you can easily control/spam. That and Frenzy + 20% customized + 15% stance mod = 33% + 20% + 15% = 48% more damage from the weapon (unless it overlaps instead of stacks, which means 1.33*1.20*1.15*base damage) That's excluding the weapon bonus from 16 axe. Now THAT'S a lot of damage. My suffix is almost always Fortitude. Against people who think killing me is important, I've noticed the warding or defense axe grips just don't protect me as well. That and the high armor level doesn't gain much benefit. My 95AL turning to 100 with a defense grip is something I just don't see much difference in the numbers. [that and degen/armor ignoring skills render the grip useless] Fortitude is unaffected by Death Penalty, which even the best PvE'rs and PvP'rs will suffer from time to time. That was my selling point really. Pick your choice. Be it efficient and practical vs. inefficient and pointless. /me wishes he had a Zealous Chaos Axe of Fortitude + 15% damage in stance as far as models go, they don't affect your weapon damage but you can look cool at least... |
